Frequently Asked Questions

Are fishing licenses required?   No.

Is bait available?   Yes, we sell night crawlers and have artificial worms and lures for sale at the camp store.

What type of boats can I bring?   Smaller rowboats, canoes, kayaks, and paddleboats are allowed.  No motors except for trolling motors. You should have no problem putting the boat in the water, even if you do not have a lake-side campsite.  We do have rowboats and paddleboats for rent.

What do you charge for the Broadband WiFi service?   We offer 15 minutes per day FREE!    If you need additional time, our rates are very reasonable at 1 day - $2, 3 days - $5, 1 week - $10, 2 weeks - $15, 30 days - $25.  All charges are subject to sales tax.

Do you have cable TV or phone hookups?   No.

Can I receive satellite reception?   Many do, if they are located in the open along the lake.  Sometimes the trees can pose a problem.

What is your cancellation policy?   One week in advance of your arrival date for a refund minus a $5.00 processing charge.  There are no refunds for holiday reservations.

When is your snack bar open and what do you serve?   Our snack bar is open on weekends from 8am - 10am, serving a hot breakfast.  Our menu includes, eggs any style, omelets, pancakes, French toast, bacon, ham, homefries, toast, coffee, tea, juice, and milk.  We serve good portions at great prices!
We dish hard ice cream anytime the office is open.

What hours is your office open?   Monday through Thursday - 9 a.m. - 8 p.m., Friday - 9 a.m. - 10 p.m., Saturday - 8 a.m. - 10 p.m., Sunday - 8 a.m. - 8 p.m.

What happens if we arrive after the office is closed?   We live on the grounds, and if we know you are coming before 11 p.m. we'll watch for you to register you in and get you settled for the night. If you arrive after 11 p.m., there's plenty of room to park your rig across from the office and spend the night. We'll register you in in the morning.

Can I just find a campsite and see you in the morning?   That won't be possible since there are card activated gates that allow only our campers and their registered guests access to the camping area.

Do you have tables and fire rings at your campsites?   Yes.

Do you sell firewood?   Yes, for $4.00 including tax per bundle at the camp office/store.

Do you sell ice?   Yes, 8 pound bags of cube ice are available for $1.25 per bag at the camp office/store.

When is the beach area open for swimming?   Weekends only starting Memorial Day Weekend through the weekend of June 23^rd. Thereafter, every day that the weather is conducive to swimming through Labor Day Weekend.

What hours is the swimming area open?   Because we provide a trained lifeguard, the swimming hours are 1- 4 p.m., and 5 - 7 p.m.

Do you allow pets?  Yes, provided that you have proof of rabies vaccination at time of registration, and that they are friendly, cleaned up after, and do not disturb others.
